Gervonta has claimed that Ryan Garcia is in a super-fight. He made this claim in a deleted tweet, where he said to the American to “shut down and get ready.”

Garcia has had a busy few weeks. He defeated Luke Campbell, a British fighter, to win the interim lightweight title.

“The Flash” was trying to make a move up in class to face Olympic champion Campbell for WBC interim belt. To his credit, the 22 year-old defeated Campbell with a seventh round body shot that is ‘picture perfect.

Later, he called out Tank Davis in his post-fight interview. This sparked lots of discussion amongst the fans.

Since then, Garcia has been exchanging verbal blows with Davis, the two-weight world champion.

“He knows, and we all know what’s going to happen very soon,” he said. He told TMZ.

“I don’t have the time to celebrate, I’m on one mission. I have a mission to defeat Gervonta Davis in just two rounds. This man will be knocked out in two rounds. That’s a promise.

“Gervonta! You will never be remembered if you don’t take the next fight with me.” If you refuse to accept the next fight, your legacy will be forever tarnished. There are no excuses. The money is there, everything is there. You’re already down by two.”

Davis is also active on social media and in a deleted tweet he seemed to confirm that Garcia’s fight has been won.

“Lol! When have I ever been an a**ch?” Gervonta posted the following on Twitter.

“You’ll know who you spoke to 10 minutes before the ring walk. The fight is already over. Get ready to fight!

Garcia declined to answer if negotiations have taken place for a fight against Davis.

“From what I know, we have had some talks but not official talks. Nothing set, nothing crazy.” He told TMZ.

“Now is the right time. He defeated Luke Campbell, and Leo Santa Cruz was knocked out. This is what the people want. Let’s make this exciting for fans. Let’s do it, man.”

Also, Teofimo Lopez, the unified lightweight champion of the world, was not impressed by Garcia’s victory against Luke Cambell.

Ryan, what grade should I give him? An A? No, no grade. Luke Campbell was not like Jorge Linares and Lomachenko fighters. That was Luke Campbell. Luke dropped Ryan! said Teofimo Lopez Sr.

“You saw it on a video that was out there, me and Eddie Hearn. I said that Luke was losing, in that losing was already inside his head. Ryan beat him. It’s hard to imagine what he and his men were doing after the win. They were so happy.
